Role Overview
AISJ seeks a dedicated and passionate Learning Support & English Acquisition Teacher to support students with mild to moderate learning needs and English language acquisition. The role involves pull-out support and co-teaching in Elementary and/or Middle School and collaboration with teachers, parents, and administrators to support inclusive learning practices.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education/Learning Support (Master’s preferred)

Certification or license in Special Education/Learning Support

Certification or license in English Language Acquisition
Skills & Experience
-
Teaching Learning Support and English Acquisition at Elementary/Middle School level
-
Experience with a wide range of student needs
-
Ability to plan Tier 3 interventions and implement a Multi-Tiered System of Support

Use assessment and English level data to develop Individual Learning Plans

Ability to provide scaffolds and strategies to general education teachers
-
Strong communication, collaboration, and data-informed teaching skills

Experience in a multicultural school environment

Work Hours
