Curro Holdings, a JSE-listed independent schooling provider, seeks to appoint a Life Orientation Teacher for the high school FET phase at The Kings School in Linbro Park, starting in January 2026. The role involves teaching and coordinating subjects according to the Curro curriculum, focusing on student growth, knowledge transfer, skills development, and fostering positive attitudes among learners.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver lessons using modern tools, set up workbooks, and measure academic progress.

Create and adjust term plans, incorporating assessments, exams, school activities, and differentiated learning materials.

Administer baseline assessments, provide subject recommendations, and develop catch-up programs.

Manage classroom setup, assessments, homework, and communication with students and parents.

Organize and manage extracurricular activities and provide one-on-one tutoring and extra lessons.
Qualifications & Requirements:

BEd, BA, or PGCE in FET phase education (honours degree in relevant subjects is advantageous).

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an FET phase teacher.

Knowledge of the IEB curriculum.

Strong facilitation, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.

Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

SACE registered.
-
Clear criminal record.
