About Magalies Water
Magalies Water invites young South African citizens aged between 18 and 35 to apply for its External Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year. This opportunity aims to assist students pursuing studies in various fields, particularly those that will contribute to the water sector and related industries.

Magalies Water will award bursaries in the following fields for the 2026 academic year:

Mechanical Engineering (2 positions) – N4–N6 / Diploma (NQF6) / B Degree

Civil Engineering (2 positions) – N4–N6 / Diploma (NQF6) / B Degree

Water Care (2 positions) – Diploma (NQF6) / Advanced Diploma

Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry (2 positions) – Diploma (NQF6) / B Degree

Biotechnology / Microbiology (2 positions) – Diploma (NQF6) / B Degree

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Magalies Water Bursary 2026, applicants must:

Be South African citizens aged between 18 and 35 years.

Have achieved at least a 65% average in Grade 12.
-
Be accepted or provisionally accepted at a registered South African tertiary institution.

Have a strong academic record and meet the admission requirements for the chosen field.
Preference will be given to:

Previously disadvantaged individuals
-
People with disabilities
-
Female students
Required Documents
Applicants must submit certified copies of the following documents with their application:

South African ID document

Grade 11 and Matric results (if currently in Matric)

Matric certificate (if completed)

Latest academic transcript or record (if already studying at tertiary level)

Provisional acceptance letter from a university or college
