Marketing Assistant

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Bridge House School is looking for a Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing Manager in showcasing the school’s vibrant community and enhancing connections with alumni, parents, staff, and the wider community. This role will involve creating engaging content, coordinating events, and helping to build the school’s alumni network.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing & Communications:

  • Assist in planning and executing the school’s marketing strategy.

  • Capture, curate, and create engaging stories, photos, and videos to showcase school life.

  • Schedule social media content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, website, newsletters).

  • Support the production of print and digital marketing materials.

  • Collaborate with staff, students, and parents to maintain consistent messaging and brand identity.

  • Help maintain and update the Bridge House website and photo library.

Alumni Relations:

  • Assist in managing and growing the alumni network and database.

  • Support alumni communications, newsletters, and event planning (e.g., reunions, Founders’ Day).

  • Liaise with alumni for news stories, features, and mentorship initiatives.

  • Develop creative ways to strengthen alumni engagement and connections to the school.

Events & Support:

  • Coordinate and support school events (sports, culture, community, academics).

  • Provide marketing support for key school events.

  • Work collaboratively with departments and external partners/sponsors when required.


SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.

  • Passion for social media, photography, and visual communication.

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Warm, professional interpersonal style with a team-focused attitude.

  • Proactive, creative thinker with a good eye for design and innovation.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a marketing, communications, or social media role (experience in a school environment is advantageous).

  • Skills: Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools; experience with social media platforms, photography, and basic video editing.
