Position Summary

St Alban’s College seeks a Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing Department. The role combines graphic design, social media coordination, marketing administration, and event support. The candidate will report to the Marketing Manager and Director of Advancement.


Minimum Requirements

  • BA or BCom degree in Marketing, Branding, or Digital Media

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a marketing or communications role

  • Valid driver’s licence

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

  • Photography and basic video editing skills

  • Experience in social media management (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)

  • Familiarity with analytics/advertising tools (Google Analytics, Meta Insights, Google Ads)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends

  • Physically able to assist with event setup and breakdown

  • Outgoing, energetic, and approachable personality

  • Clear criminal record and sexual offender clearance

Responsibilities

Design & Brand Management:

  • Produce digital and print marketing materials aligned with the College’s CI

  • Create social media, publications, newsletters, posters, and event materials

  • Maintain consistent brand identity

Social Media & Digital Marketing:

  • Develop, schedule, and publish content

  • Monitor performance and provide recommendations

  • Support online advertising campaigns

Event Coordination & Photography:

  • Assist in planning, setup, and execution of marketing events

  • Capture and edit photography/video for marketing use

Marketing Administration & Support:

  • Handle administrative tasks to ensure smooth department operations

  • Maintain marketing materials and digital platforms

Community Engagement:

  • Attend key school functions

  • Promote positive engagement and uphold the College’s reputation
