🧭 Main Purpose of the Role:
To manage and coordinate all internal and external marketing efforts, vendor campaigns, and events, while leading and supporting junior Marketing & Events Coordinators. The role blends project management, vendor liaison, creative input, and logistical oversight—requiring a balance of creativity, organization, and leadership.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Coordination:

Oversee project plans and ensure execution of vendor and business marketing campaigns.

Approve and manage quarterly marketing plans across brands and vendors.

Ensure alignment with vendor brand guidelines.
-
Maintain an activity tracker for all marketing campaigns and events.

Support with vendor portal management, uploading activities and maintaining claim documentation.

Collaborate with finance on marketing-related quotes, invoices, POs, and budget tracking.
Events Management:

Plan and execute internal and external events, including company functions.

Handle full logistics: supplier sourcing, procurement, budgeting, setup, travel bookings.

Maintain and manage event project sheets, budgets, and post-event reports.

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during supplier vetting and execution.
Team Coordination & Oversight:

Provide guidance and support to other Marketing & Events Coordinators.

Act as a point of escalation and accountability for marketing execution quality.

Drive team-based collaboration with vendors, internal stakeholders, and suppliers.
Financial & Operational Reporting:

Track budgets, prepare reports (e.g. operations reports, event specs, savings, and post-event summaries).

Ensure proper cost control, and prevent overspending on marketing and events.
🎓 Minimum Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12)

Marketing Diploma or Degree (required)
🧾 Experience & Skills:

3–5 years’ relevant experience, preferably in the IT sector

Proven record of successful campaign execution

Hands-on experience in vendor marketing, planning, execution, and claims

Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

Vendor negotiation and supplier procurement skills

Confident with project coordination and independent execution

Excellent communication skills (verbal & written English)

Creative, adaptable, and able to handle multiple projects under pressure
