Position Overview

Crawford International is seeking a qualified and experienced Mathematical Literacy Teacher to join Lonehill College. The teacher will deliver high-quality instruction, create a motivating learning environment, and support students’ academic and personal development in line with the school’s future-focused education philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and assess instructional programs in Mathematical Literacy for high school learners
Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and peers
Create a learning culture that embraces inquiry-based, future-focused education
Encourage student agency and provide opportunities to master key skills
Collaborate with peers and contribute to school-wide initiatives
Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practice

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) and PGCE/HDE or B.Ed with specialization in Mathematical Literacy
Valid SACE certificate
Police clearance
3–5 years teaching experience in high school
Experience in subject specialization for Mathematical Literacy
Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with IB curriculum, IEB assessments, or inquiry-based learning is advantageous
Ability to integrate data-driven decision-making and performance leadership in teaching practice
