Position Overview

Sisekelo School is seeking a qualified and dynamic Mathematics & Computer Science Educator to teach Grades 8–12. The successful candidate will bring innovation, strong subject mastery, and a passion for integrating technology into teaching and learning.

Duties & Competencies

Commitment to subject-related duties and school activities
Understanding and working knowledge of the IEB-ISC curriculum and assessment procedures
Familiarity with independent school ethos and practices
Excellent computer literacy and ability to teach using digital learning platforms
Strong collaboration and communication with learners, colleagues, and parents
Participation in the full school programme, including sports and extra-curricular activities

Minimum Requirements

Degree in Education with specialisation in Mathematics and Computer Science
Experience teaching Mathematics and Computer Science at IEB, NSC, or AS/A Level Cambridge
Extensive experience teaching beginners and intermediate learners
Proven experience providing technical support (software, hardware, digital learning platforms)
Knowledge of ICDL (advantageous)
Minimum 5 years teaching experience

Key Competencies

Strong mastery of Mathematics & Computer Science concepts
Ability to simplify complex content for younger learners
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and diagnostic technical skills
Proficiency in Smart Boards, EdTech tools, and digital teaching platforms
Ability to guide teachers in adopting AI-powered teaching and assessment tools
Strong professional conduct, adaptability, communication, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities

Teach Mathematics & Computer Science across assigned grades
Provide IT support to staff (Smart Boards, projectors, devices, software, etc.)
Assist in setup, maintenance, and operation of classroom technologies
Support teachers in the use of AI tools, EdTech, and digital learning platforms
Contribute to the school’s digital transformation strategy
Collaborate with academic heads on tech-integrated curriculum delivery
Respond rapidly to technical issues to avoid learning disruptions
Manage digital resources, computer labs, and ICT equipment
Prepare learners for Computer Science assessments and promote digital literacy progression
