About the Role
Tired of the 9–5 routine? This freelance opportunity offers you the flexibility to work from home, set your own hours, and contribute to the improvement of AI technologies by evaluating media content. You’ll use an innovative web-based platform to analyze and assess various types of content in the digital space.
What You’ll Do
As a Media Search Analyst, your tasks will include:

Evaluating content across categories: music, books, podcasts, video, and home pod interactions

Analyzing App Store search results to assess accuracy and user intent

Conducting online research to validate queries
-
Applying local knowledge and market expertise to improve digital content relevance

Working across a variety of task types including audio, news, and relevance evaluations
Requirements
To qualify, you must meet the following:

Full professional proficiency in English (South African)

Resident in South Africa for the past 12 months

Deep familiarity with South African media, culture, news, sports, and social trends

An Apple ID email address and experience using Apple devices

Interest in apps, digital content, music, and video trends
-
Daily access to a computer, broadband internet, and necessary software

Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and ability to work independently

Flexible and adaptable to new tools and workflows

High school diploma or higher preferred – exceptional candidates without formal qualifications will still be considered
Assessment & Onboarding

You must pass an open-book qualification exam and complete ID verification

All training materials and guidelines are provided

Work is monitored through regular quality assurance checks
