Job Description
RCL Foods is seeking x5 Millwright Apprentices to join its Spreads Division at Siqalo Foods, Boksburg.
The purpose of this role is to develop the technical competence and practical skills needed to qualify as a Millwright. Apprentices will receive structured workplace learning, hands-on training, and theoretical knowledge under the guidance of experienced mentors.
The programme prepares candidates to perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations safely and effectively while supporting smooth plant operations.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science

N3–N6 (with trade subjects)

Age: 18–35 years
Duties and Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and assist with plant repairs.

Support and coach operational staff on engineering skills.

Participate in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities.

Conduct fault-finding to optimize production output.

Perform breakdown, preventative, and predictive maintenance.

Analyze breakdowns and implement continuous improvement.
-
Support strategic engineering plans for maintenance reduction (RCM).
-
Investigate major engineering losses using Kaizen methods (Fishbone, 5 Why, etc.).

Ensure compliance with safety rules and 5S standards.

Contribute to training through OPLs and SOPs.
