Key Responsibilities
Earthmoving Equipment Apprentice
-
Assist artisans in diagnosing faults on machines
-
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance
-
Assist with minor and major services
-
Report breakdowns and complete inspection sheets
-
Request and order spares
-
Monitor equipment efficiencies
-
Support productivity improvement plans
-
Coordinate servicing of plant and equipment
-
Comply with all SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) standards
Auto Electrician Apprentice

Assist in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
-
Test and inspect electrical systems (lights, computers, warning systems)

Analyse fault codes using diagnostic software
-
Perform wiring, alternator, and starter repairs
-
Log outstanding faults and report to Plant Foreman
-
Order electrical spares
-
Conduct electrical preventative maintenance

Attend to urgent electrical breakdowns

Follow all SHEQ procedures
Minimum Requirements
General Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics, Physical Science, and Technical Drawing

N2 Certificate (advantageous)
