Penryn NPC, an independent, co-educational Christian school affiliated with the Methodist Church, seeks a passionate and motivated Music Intern to join the GET/FET Phase (Grades 8–12) at Penryn College.

Penryn is a proud ISASA member and part of the Round Square global network.


ABOUT THE ROLE

This internship is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic individual pursuing a career in music education to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and vibrant learning environment. Interns will work alongside experienced educators and engage in both classroom and extracurricular music activities.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in or registered for:

    • Bachelor of Education (with external music qualifications such as ABRSM, Trinity, or UNISA),

    • Bachelor of Music, or

    • PGCE

  • Keen interest in instrumental and/or vocal music education

  • Willingness to assist with rehearsals, performances, and music-related events

  • Good organisational and communication skills

  • Proficient in MS Office and/or Google Suite

  • Valid driver’s licence (non-negotiable); PDP is an advantage

  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and willing to learn

  • Commitment to Penryn’s Christian ethos, co-curricular life, and pastoral values

  • Willingness to undergo staff vetting and development
