Position Overview
Knights Preparatory School is seeking a part-time or full-time Music Teacher to join their team from 1 January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and passionate educator to work in a vibrant, forward-thinking school environment.
Key Responsibilities

Teach Grades 0–7, with individual instrumental instruction in at least two instruments (piano essential)

Lead and train junior and senior choirs
-
Use music technology effectively in the classroom

Organize and lead recitals, showcases, and music productions
-
Assist with school events and music department activities
-
Support the Christian ethos of the school
Requirements
-
Bachelor of Music degree or a similar suitable qualification
-
Professional teaching qualification (PGCE)
-
Current SACE registration
-
Police clearance certificate and clearance on the Sexual Offenders Register
-
Teaching experience in Grades 0–7 (advantageous)
-
Proficient in music technology and general classroom tech
-
Strong organizational skills
-
Commitment to team collaboration and continuous professional growth
