CBC Mount Edmund, an independent Catholic school in Pretoria, invites applications from passionate and dedicated educators for the position of Natural Science Teacher (Grades 4–7).
Minimum Requirements:
-
A recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed.) specialising in Intermediate or Senior Phase
-
SACE registration (or proof of application)
-
2–3 years’ experience teaching Natural Science to Grades 4–7
-
Sound knowledge of the CAPS / IEB curriculum
-
Commitment to inclusive, child-centred, and inquiry-based learning
-
Willingness to support the Catholic ethos of the school
-
Strong classroom management, communication, and administrative skills
-
Proficient in integrating technology into teaching and learning
Added Advantages:

Experience with the IEB curriculum

Involvement in extra-curricular activities

Familiarity with cross-curricular planning and assessment
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, age-appropriate Natural Science lessons aligned with CAPS/IEB and 21st-century learning practices

Plan, assess, and report on learner progress

Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning

Contribute to the academic, spiritual, and holistic development of learners

Participate in school events and initiatives
