Job Description:
Core Education is seeking a qualified and passionate Natural Sciences Grade 8 & 9 Educator to join the team at ACUDEO College Thornview Secondary in Soshanguve. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Natural Sciences to Grades 8 and 9, designing and delivering engaging lessons, assessing students’ progress, and fostering a love for science among learners.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach Natural Sciences to Grade 8 and 9 students.

Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the CAPS and/or Cambridge standards.

Design, implement, and assess both practical investigations and theoretical assessments.

Use a variety of teaching methods to engage different learning styles.

Relate scientific concepts to real-life contexts and cross-curricular themes.

Promote critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and problem-solving.

Manage classroom dynamics and ensure positive learner discipline.

Encourage collaboration and teamwork within the Science department.

Maintain accurate records of learner progress and assessments.

Build positive relationships with learners, colleagues, and parents.

Utilize educational technology to enhance teaching and learning.
Skills Required:

Strong understanding of the Natural Sciences curriculum.
