Nova Pioneer is seeking dynamic, passionate, and innovative student Psychologists to join our Psychosocial Team (PST) as interns in 2026. This internship provides experience in a school environment, including individual therapy, assessments, group interventions, multidisciplinary teamwork, and case management.

Key Responsibilities

• Work under supervision of the school’s educational psychologists (site supervisors)

• Conduct therapeutic interventions (including play therapy and trauma support) for students from Grade 00/000 to Grade 12

• Provide learning support and remedial interventions to primary school students

• Conduct psycho-educational assessments and write professional reports

• Facilitate workshops, group interventions, and Social and Emotional Learning experiences for students, staff, and parents

• Attend Student Support Team (SST) meetings and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold professional and ethical conduct according to HPCSA guidelines

Requirements

• Completed or near completion of an accredited Master’s degree in Education or Counseling Psychology

• Individualised internship program approved by the Professional Board for Psychology by December 2025

• Registered with the HPCSA as an intern Psychologist no later than January 2026

• Supervised experience in therapeutic interventions and psychological assessment

• Willingness and ability to work across multiple campuses and travel as necessary
