Internship Overview:
The Disaster Management Intern will assist the Division: Disaster Management with administrative and logistical tasks. These include:

Supporting operational activities.

Compiling disaster management reports.
-
Liaising with role-players regarding incidents, early warnings, and related matters.

Assisting with training and awareness programmes.
-
Providing general administrative support.
Minimum Requirements:
-
National Diploma or Degree in Disaster Management, Public Administration, Office Administration, or a relevant qualification.

Valid Code B driver’s licence.

Computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and GIS (minimum requirement: ability to use Google Earth).

Excellent communication and writing skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.

Physically fit and able to work in inclement weather conditions.
