About the Role
Cannons Creek Independent School’s Music Department seeks a passionate Part-time Piano Teacher to provide individual lessons, prepare students for performances and examinations, and contribute to the department’s vibrant music program.
Key Responsibilities

Provide individual piano lessons for students.

Prepare students for performances, examinations, Eisteddfods, and competitions.
-
Create a nurturing, engaging teaching environment.
-
Maintain professionalism in punctuality, conduct, and standards of work.
-
Evaluate, reflect on, and refine teaching practice.
-
Respond to parent communications within 24 hours.
-
Attend department meetings, school events, and special occasions.
-
Complete administrative tasks related to lessons and department collaboration.

Write student report comments and undertake other tasks as directed by the Head of Culture.
Requirements
-
Minimum B.Mus degree with specialization in Piano performance and teaching.

Experience with ABRSM/Trinity Syllabus.

Minimum 5 years teaching experience.

Proficient in computer literacy.
-
Strong interpersonal skills and passion for working with children.

Proven organizational and administrative skills.
-
Valid Police Clearance certificate.
Advantageous
-
Degree in Music, Performer’s or Teacher’s Licentiate.

Experience teaching piano from Grades 1–12.
-
Knowledge of latest teaching trends.
