Requirements

Willingness to embrace and actively promote the ethos, values, and mission of the College

A relevant academic degree in Physical Education or Sports Science and a professional teaching qualification
-
Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience in this field
-
SACE registration and valid Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register clearance
-
Police clearance certificate (not older than 6 months)
-
Commitment to learner safety; Level 3 First Aid certification is an advantage
-
Ability to manage curriculum, coordinate, and maintain sports facilities and equipment
-
Proven skills in coaching multiple sporting codes and delivering CAPS-aligned PE lessons (Grades RR–6)
-
Competence in planning, assessing, and reporting on learners’ physical and personal development
-
Experience organising school sporting events, including inter-house competitions, trials, and festivals
-
Strong administrative, organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
-
Dedication to ongoing professional development and innovation in teaching
-
Passion for character development through sport, modelling values such as integrity, discipline, and teamwork
-
High ethical standards and professionalism
-
Energetic, self-motivated, and able to inspire others in the department
