Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Repair: Responsible for servicing and repairing diesel/petrol machines, motor vehicles, pumps, and generators.

Diagnostics & Problem Solving: Diagnose mechanical issues, identify problems, and rectify them on vehicles and equipment.

Overhaul Components: Rebuild or replace components such as carburettors, blowers, starters, generators, distributors, and pumps.

Routine Maintenance: Perform regular servicing of company vehicles according to predefined checklists.

Breakdown Response: Attend to breakdowns and conduct necessary repairs, particularly on earth-moving equipment.

Health & Safety: Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed at all times in work processes.

Legal Compliance: Ensure vehicles are maintained to meet legal requirements, such as roadworthiness.

Reporting: Regularly report to management about breakdowns, services, and maintenance performed.

Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace.
Minimum Requirements:

Qualification: Qualified Artisan or a 5-year recognized apprenticeship.

Experience: Up to 3 years of experience in a similar role.

License: Valid driver’s license, preferably EC.

Additional Skills: Knowledge and application of mechanical maintenance, problem diagnosis, and repair work on diesel/petrol engines and related systems.
