Graduate Trainee: Environment
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Graduate Trainee (Fixed-Term Contract, 6 months) in Environmental, reporting to the Environmental Manager. The position is based in Delmas, Mpumalanga.
Purpose of the Job
The Environmental Graduate Trainee supports the Environmental Manager in coordinating, administering, and implementing the ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management System. This role ensures compliance with environmental legislation, certification standards, and supports continuous improvement at McCain Foods’ Delmas plant.
Key Responsibilities

Implement and maintain ISO14001:2015 policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Ensure no major audit findings related to environmental compliance in internal and external audits (e.g., legal compliance, WUL, ISO14001 EMS, DWS, and global audits).

Conduct environmental awareness training.

Manage environmental risk and evaluate performance.

Support sustainability initiatives related to utilities (MDI sustainability).
Requirements

National Diploma or Degree in Environmental Management.

Previous experience in the food industry will be advantageous.
