Minimum Requirements

A minimum of a three-year Bachelor’s Degree in English or equivalent

A recognised teaching qualification
-
SACE registration (non-negotiable)
-
Police clearance certificate (mandatory)

Proven experience teaching English at Matric level
-
Strong working knowledge and experience with Google Suite (Google Classroom, Docs, Drive, etc.)

Strong administrative and organisational skills
-
A passion for education and enthusiasm for working with young people

Familiarity with current educational trends and curriculum developments

Independent School experience (advantageous)

Must support the Christian ethos of the school
Key Duties and Responsibilities
-
Lead and teach English Home Language in Grades 8–12, aligned with the CAPS curriculum

Provide editorial oversight of school publications, including proofreading and editing documents, reports, and the school magazine
-
Offer and coordinate debating and other relevant extramural activities
-
Contribute actively to the school’s culture of academic excellence, innovation, and professional collaboration
