Position Overview

We invite applications for an exceptional Afrikaans Teacher to join our Senior Prep (Grade 6–7) teaching team. The ideal candidate is passionate about language learning, committed to developing a love and competence in Afrikaans, and capable of teaching in a way that inspires and motivates boys.


Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Afrikaans to Grade 6 and 7 learners

  • Develop and deliver creative, engaging lessons aligned with St Peter’s pedagogy

  • Promote the school’s values and attributes through classroom and community engagement

  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including Saturday sports fixtures

  • Contribute to curriculum innovation and co-curricular initiatives

  • Collaborate in team teaching and ongoing professional development


Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant teaching qualification

  • Minimum 3 years of Afrikaans teaching experience at senior prep level

  • Valid SACE registration

  • Ability to contribute to boys’ sport (advantageous)
