Position Overview
WHPS is seeking a warm, creative, and experienced Pre-Prep Teacher for the Grade 0000 class (ages 2–3). The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood development and committed to fostering a safe, stimulating learning environment.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Foundation Phase or a recognised ECD qualification
-
3–5 years’ experience teaching children aged 2–5 in a Pre-Prep or structured ECD setting
-
Strong understanding of early developmental milestones for 2–3-year-olds
-
Nurturing, patient, and child-focused teaching approach
-
Strong classroom management skills appropriate for a pre-school environment

Ability to plan and lead creative, play-based learning activities including:
-
Music & movement
-
Storytelling
-
Obstacle courses
-
Arts and crafts
-
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Comfortable engaging with parents and colleagues in a professional, warm manner
-
Willingness to participate in school events beyond school hours
-
First Aid training, or willingness to complete one within a few months

Clear criminal record and compliance with child protection legislation
-
Willing to work within the school’s Christian ethos and values
