About the Role
Herschel Girls School seeks a qualified and innovative Music Teacher to join the Whole School Music Department. The successful candidate will teach Pre-Nursery to Grade 7 students, lead ensembles, and contribute to a progressive, safe, and inclusive musical environment.
Key Responsibilities

Teach class music across Preparatory School grades.

Conduct and lead instrumental ensembles (beneficial).

Provide instrumental instruction (specify instruments and grade levels).

Teach aural skills, music theory, and accompaniment (piano skills beneficial).

Integrate technology into music teaching and support blended learning.

Contribute to the extramural music programme.

Demonstrate commitment to girls’ education, school values, and ethos.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Relevant Music qualification.

Fully SACE registered.

Experience in teaching multi-faceted music genres and instrumental lessons.

Demonstrable passion for progressive and inclusive music education.

Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills.
