🔹 About the Role
Brescia House School is offering a fixed-term internship in the Foundation Phase (Grade R to Grade 3). This role blends teaching, observing, mentoring, and administration while supporting the academic philosophy and Catholic ethos of the school.
✅ Minimum Requirements
-
Completion or near completion of a relevant education degree or qualification from a recognised institute
-
Proof of registration or willingness to register with SACE
-
Some teaching exposure; preference for candidates with practical experience or work in au pair/aftercare roles
-
Passion for working with young learners and supportive of an all-girls, monastic education model
-
Advanced computer literacy and technological skills
-
Ability to manage pressure, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations
🔹 Key Responsibilities

Work closely with the Deputy Head and experienced teachers in the Foundation Phase

Assist with daily classroom activities and lesson preparation
-
Support learners individually or in small groups
-
Contribute to extramural activities and school events

Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Participate in professional development sessions

Contribute to the well-being and development of young learners
