Role Purpose:
To coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules, ensuring smooth operations and on-time delivery.
Minimum Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12)
-
Supervisory experience and/or Certificate from Chamber of Baking
-
Relevant 3-year Degree or Diploma in Production and/or Operations Management is an advantage
-
2-3 years’ production experience, preferably in FMCG
-
Experience in team leadership
-
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with production activity control to meet business and financial goals

Collaborate with Managers to plan and manage production tasks for improved runtime

Review production plans and flag potential risks to Manager
-
Develop inventory control methods to prevent shortages or excess stock
-
Help process customer orders and shipments per schedule
-
Support cost control efforts while maintaining quality standards
-
Review job orders, set priorities and production schedules
-
Monitor job order execution and adjust schedules to ensure timely delivery
-
Stay updated on company objectives, production strategies, and support activities
-
Plan and track material movement in production to maintain continuous operations
-
Plan equipment, material, and manpower requirements for job orders

Coordinate with Manager to resolve planning and control issues

Prepare job order documentation and ensure timely approvals

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete orders on time and to specification

Provide regular production updates to Managers and customers
