About the Role

Khewija GIBB Alliance (KGA) provides multi-disciplinary EPC/m solutions across the Petrochemicals and Energy industry value chain—from midstream to downstream. Our integrated EPC/m project delivery includes process, piping & mechanical, civil and structural, electrical, and instrumentation engineering.

KGA is seeking a talented Project Manager with extensive multidisciplinary project management experience in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sectors. You will lead project teams to deliver capital projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality and safety standards aligned with Petrochemical specifications.


Core Responsibilities

  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams through all phases of capital projects

  • Oversee project management, engineering, construction controls, and deliverables

  • Conduct risk management and mitigation planning

  • Manage resources, budgets, and costs

  • Lead project planning, monitoring, and control

  • Ensure HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) compliance

  • Identify and manage project opportunities and proposals


Job Requirements

  • Extensive experience managing and delivering multidisciplinary capital projects in the Petrochemical industry

  • Strong project management skills aligned with PMBoK processes and knowledge areas

  • Preferably have interfaced or worked with Sasol

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, time management, and decision-making skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Knowledge of applicable industry codes, standards, and best practices


Qualifications

  • Degree or Higher National Diploma in Engineering (University or University of Technology) – required

  • Postgraduate qualification in Project Engineering – preferred

  • Professional registration with SACPCMP as a Professional Project Manager (Pr. PM), or eligible for registration


Experience

  • Minimum 20 years engineering experience in Petrochemical sector with multidisciplinary project management and delivery

  • Minimum 7 years as Project Manager in Petrochemical/Oil & Gas projects across all project stages

  • Experience working with Sasol preferred

  • Strong knowledge of PMBoK, risk management, and contract management

  • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and time management skills


Core Competencies

  • Deep understanding of project management and construction processes

  • Expertise in project financial and cost management

  • Knowledge of contracting, commercial terms, and contract law basics

  • Familiarity with Health and Safety Act and regulations

  • Proficient in risk and document management processes

  • Skilled in stakeholder management and conflict resolution
