About the MQA
The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is a Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) under the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). Mandated by the Skills Development Act (SDA) 97 of 1998, the MQA is responsible for skills development in the mining and minerals sector (MMS), covering sub-sectors such as Coal, Gold, PGM, Diamonds, Cement, Lime, Aggregates, Sand, Mineral Processing, Diamond Processing, and Jewellery Manufacturing.
Internship Opportunity
The MQA invites applications from unemployed South African citizens who have never participated in an internship programme. Successful candidates will be appointed in the Quality Assurance Unit for a period of 24 months.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
-
Matric / Grade 12
-
National Diploma in Human Resources Development/Management or Administration (NQF Level 6)
-
Advantage: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in the above-mentioned fields (NQF Level 7)
Competencies
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Understanding of education & training legislation
-
Ability to work under pressure
-
Proactive and detail-oriented attitude
-
Proficiency in MS Office Packages
