Job Summary
Rand Water is seeking a qualified Auto Electrician Artisan to repair, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on vehicles, plant, and equipment, including light and heavy-duty machinery.
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 or N3 qualification
-
Auto Electrician Trade Test Certificate
-
Valid C1 Driver’s License
-
Minimum 2 years experience in light-duty, heavy-duty, plant & equipment (yellow machinery)
Primary Duties
-
Repair and maintain electrical systems and components on vehicles, plant, and equipment.
-
Complete job cards and timesheets for review by Workshop Supervisor.
-
Attend Green Area Meetings to discuss technical issues with other Artisans.
-
Respond to breakdowns after hours and over weekends.
-
Execute all fault repairs efficiently.
-
Perform field services for on-site repairs.
-
Assist in escort duties for transporting extra-heavy loads.
Knowledge
-
Basic SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) knowledge.

Familiarity with latest testing equipment and procedures.
Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of diesel injection systems.
