SALARY: R324 579 – R1 111 323 per annum (MR3-MR5)
Salary will be in accordance with the Occupation Specific Dispensation (Resolution 1 of 2008). Shortlisted candidates must submit Service Certificates for experience verification. The successful candidate will sign a performance agreement.

REQUIREMENTS:
-
Education: Matric plus an LLB degree or a four-year legal qualification (NQF Level 7).
-
Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ legal experience post-qualification. Superior Court or litigation experience is an advantage.

Licensing: Valid Code B or EB driver’s license.

Knowledge of registry duties and case flow management.

Understanding of public service legislative framework, storage, and retrieval procedures.

DUTIES:

Default Judgments:
-
Review pleadings/processes for compliance with court rules.
-
Consider applications for default judgment and apply discretion.
-
Maintain accurate default applications register and report statistics.
-

Taxations:
-
Review bills of costs and finalize opposed/unopposed taxations.
-
Draft stated cases and replies for taxation reviews (Rule 48).
-
Maintain bills of costs register and report taxations statistics.
-

Criminal/Civil Process Management:
-
Analyze statistical data to identify trends and risk factors.
-
Resolve Presidential Hotline and Chapter 9 enquiries.
-
Coordinate court support staff and manage performance information/data/statistics.
-

Staff Supervision & Development:
-
Supervise employees, allocate duties, and conduct quality control.
-
Manage leave, performance, conduct, and discipline of staff.
-
Ensure staff training and development.
-
Develop and monitor work systems for efficient functioning.
-
Provide advice on asset allocation and control.
