Job Purpose:
To maintain and monitor adherence to SHEQ Policies and Procedures and ensure compliance with site, client-specific, and legislative requirements.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
-
SAMTRAC / COMSOC / NOSA Certification
-
Valid driver’s license (Code B, EB, or C1)

Trade Certificate (advantageous)
Experience & Skills Requirements:
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar safety role in the mining environment

Legal Liability Training
-
Familiar with OHS Act 85 of 1993 and Mine Health and Safety Act 29 of 1996
-
Proficient in MS Office
-
Good presentation and report writing skills
Advantageous Training:

ISO 9001 (Quality Management)

ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain the Safety Risk Management System
-
Enforce compliance with legal and safety regulations
-
Manage legal appointments and ensure validity
-
Conduct equipment and plant inspections, report and follow-up
-
Manage SHEQ activities and ensure compliance by sub-contractors
-
Maintain updated records on the safety management system
-
Investigate and manage injuries and ill health incidents
-
Compile and submit internal/external safety reports
-
Facilitate and participate in site audits
-
Handle non-conformance and incident investigations
-
Manage access control where applicable
