Job Description

The purpose of this role is to inspire people to live active lives and ensure that individual and club sales goals are achieved monthly by promoting and marketing Virgin Active as the preferred choice in the fitness industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan daily and monthly activities to generate leads, book appointments, and present to customers to achieve and exceed sales targets.

  • Record activity inputs using Virgin Active systems and processes.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Virgin Active products and competitors.

  • Expand the customer base and strengthen existing relationships.

  • Build rapport with prospective members and match their needs with products.

  • Close sales with support from the Sales Manager/Regional Sales Coach.

  • Analyse sales data and report to management.

  • Participate in sales meetings, share best practices, and generate new leads.

  • Represent Virgin Active at marketing events, promotions, and community activations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (essential)

  • Tertiary qualification in Sales/Marketing (preferred)

  • At least 2 years’ sales experience

  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills

  • Customer-centric mindset

  • Ability to analyse market data effectively

  • Financial acumen with proven experience in sales ratios and budgeting

  • Strong client relationship management skills
