🔍 About the Role:
Thorburn is seeking Grade C Security Officers for various sites in the motor industry sector. You will report to the Security Manager and play a key role in maintaining safety and enforcing security protocols on-site.
✅ Key Responsibilities:

Safeguard staff, visitors, property, equipment, and vehicles.
-
Perform regular patrols, monitoring, and access control.
-
Enforce company security policies and SOPs.
-
Respond to and report on incidents, emergencies, or breaches.
-
Complete incident and occurrence reports accurately.
-
Deliver professional customer service while maintaining authority.
🧠 Skills & Competencies Required:
-
Fluent English communication (verbal & written).
-
Strong interpersonal and observation skills.
-
Conflict resolution and problem-solving ability.
-
Physically fit and alert (patrolling duties required).
-
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
-
Familiarity with access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.

Report writing and accurate incident logging.
-
High integrity, discipline, and professionalism.
🎓 Minimum Qualifications:

PSIRA Grade C certification (Valid & Up to Date) – Mandatory

Matric (Grade 12) – Required

Previous experience in the motor industry or manufacturing – Advantageous

Firearm competency for business use – Advantageous
-
Driver’s license – Advantageous (site dependent)
