Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate.

  • Grade C Security Certificate (PSIRA).

  • Minimum 12 months security experience.

  • Knowledge of:

    • Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act

    • Evacuation procedures

    • Minimum Information Security Standards

    • Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority Procedures

    • Batho Pele Principles

    • Public Service Regulations Act

    • Departmental Policies and Procedures

  • Skills: Verbal & written communication, interpersonal relations, problem-solving, listening, computer literacy, planning & organizing, analytical skills.


Duties

  • Control access in and out of the Labour Centre and Provincial Office.

  • Secure the flow of information and assets within the Labour Centre and Provincial Office.

  • Conduct security patrols to ensure the safety of employees and clients.

  • Conduct internal investigations and enforce security rules and regulations.
