Senior End-User Computing (EUC) Engineer

Salary Package: R750,000 – R950,000 per annum (CTC, negotiable based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Maintenance: Design and maintain secure, scalable end-user computing solutions across city departments and field teams.

  • Device Lifecycle Management: Oversee procurement, provisioning, updates, and decommissioning of devices.

  • Platform Administration: Administer platforms such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Active Directory, and Office 365.

  • Endpoint Security: Lead deployment of endpoint security solutions, including EDR, anti-virus, and encryption.

  • Virtual Desktop Support: Support virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and remote access tools (RDS, Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop).

  • Issue Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex endpoint, software, and connectivity issues escalated from support teams.

  • Compliance & Policy Implementation: Implement GPOs, configuration baselines, and MDM policies while ensuring compliance with ICT policies, POPIA, cybersecurity regulations, and audit standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualification: National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.

  • Experience: 5+ years’ experience in end-user support or EUC administration, including senior-level responsibilities.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Intune, and Endpoint Manager.

    • Strong experience with OS deployment (WDS, MDT), imaging tools, and patch management.

    • Proven experience implementing endpoint security and compliance frameworks.

    • Familiarity with ticketing and ITSM platforms (e.g., Freshservice, ServiceNow).

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.

  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity credential.

  • ITIL Foundation.

  • MDM Solutions: Intune, Jamf, AirWatch.
