Purpose of the Role:
To manage the preparation and processing of import entries, ensuring timely and accurate submission to Customs, and to facilitate the clearance and release of goods.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

Matric (essential)

Customs Affairs Course or equivalent (essential)

Forwarding Course (advantageous)

5+ years industry-related experience
Key Responsibilities:
-
Prepare draft Bill of Entry using Compu-Clearing (CCL) and Cargowise
-
Receive and verify clearing instructions from clients or business units
-
Check documentation for accuracy
-
Batch import files for EDI submission
-
Manage Customs Stops/Detains and third-party releases
-
Liaise with stakeholders to obtain final clearance releases
Skills & Competencies:
-
Proficient in Compu-Clearing (CCL) and Cargowise
-
Strong understanding of Customs documentation and procedures
-
Tariff classification knowledge aligned with GRI rules
-
High typing speed and accuracy
-
Strong communication skills at all levels

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Curious and open to learning new functions
