Job Title: Shift Miller Assistant

Main Objectives:
The Shift Miller Assistant will work closely with the Shift Miller to achieve optimal output, extraction, and maize quality by adjusting and controlling the milling plant. The goal is to ensure that the team meets its target of optimum milling performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with extraction and milling gain, including screens room setup.

Monitor and report on quality consistency.

Support preventative plant maintenance (PPM).
-
Assist with miller’s maintenance and preparation.
-
Contribute to the overall plant efficiency.

Adhere to safe working practices and ensure a clean working environment (housekeeping).

Assist the Miller with accurate gristing.
-
Follow standard operating procedures.

Participate in Invocom™ (communication platform).
-
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with FSSC 22000 standards.

Qualification Requirements:

Matric certificate.

Knowledge of wheat grading and fumigation (an added advantage).

Exposure to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) (an added advantage).
Experience Requirements:

2 years of experience in a maize mill plant or milling environment.

Ability to thrive in a pressurised environment.

This is a 6-day position, with the need to work on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays, including 24/7 standby.

Shift work required.
