1. Purpose of the Role
The Planned Maintenance Administrator is responsible for assisting the Planned Maintenance Officer in the coordination, facilitation, and management of the maintenance management programme for mines and plants. This includes:

Providing planning and control systems
-
Maintaining policies and strategies for equipment management
-
Optimizing the interface with other mine and plant systems and functions
2. Key Responsibilities
-
Assist in ensuring that all work is controlled by work orders and that information loops are closed
-
Ensure that Delta PM, MM, and CO systems are properly supported
-
Help ensure that shutdowns follow pre-set targets in accordance with critical path analysis
-
Identify recurring failure patterns by analyzing maintenance history
-
Perform capacity planning and ensure that both preventative and corrective maintenance are covered on a daily basis
-
Participate in RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) exercises for new equipment before commissioning
-
Develop RCM-based task lists for all maintenance-significant equipment
-
Work with cross-functional engineering and production teams to minimize reactive maintenance
-
Support cleaning, lubrication, and first-line maintenance functions
-
Support preventive actions to ensure cost-effective maintenance programs
-
Assist with programs to minimize unplanned downtime on key equipment
3. Minimum Qualifications
-
Grade 12
4. Experience
-
Minimum of 1 year experience as an Engineering Assistant
-
Experienced in using a computerized planned maintenance system
5. Knowledge and Skills
-
Basic artisan training module
-
Basic artisan assistant phase 2 (advantageous)
-
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) or equivalent (advantageous)
-
Strong planning and organizational skills
-
Working knowledge of client disciplines (metallurgy, mining, engineering)
-
Ability to schedule and manage maintenance activities

Computer literate
