Position Overview:
The American International School of Johannesburg (AISJ) is offering an exciting opportunity for a Social Media, Marketing, and Production Intern. This internship will provide workplace experience to unemployed graduates, enhancing their employability and building skills for the labor market. The intern will work closely with the AISJ Activities Office, providing support for all aspects of media production and social media marketing, helping to elevate the school’s presence and engagement across platforms.
Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)

Currently enrolled in or graduated from a tertiary education program related to communications, marketing, graphic design, photography, or a related field.
Competencies:
The ideal candidate will possess:

Strong communication skills in English (both written and oral).

Proficiency in photography, videography, and editing.

A solid understanding of social media marketing and best practices in content creation.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tasks effectively.

A flexible, growth-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the AISJ Activities Instagram account and any additional Activities-related social media accounts.

Support the Activities and Communications Offices in organizing and executing “media days” for all sports and activities.

Capture photos and videos during training sessions, matches, and other activities to create content for social media and other official purposes.

Edit photos and videos to create engaging, high-quality content for AISJ and AISJ Activities platforms.

Collaborate with the Activities Office team to develop and implement social media strategies.
