Purpose of the Job:
To design, develop, implement, and maintain ICT architecture solutions aligned with the organisation’s enterprise architecture, ensuring that systems, applications, data, infrastructure, and security meet governance and business objectives.


🧠 Minimum Requirements

🎓 Qualifications:

  • Grade 12

  • Diploma + Advanced Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in IT, IS, Computer Science, or related field (NQF Level 7)

  • Essential: The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) 9 Foundation Certification

  • Preferred: UML 2 Foundation and ITIL Foundation Certifications

💼 Experience:

  • 8 years’ relevant ICT Architecture experience

  • 4 years’ specialist experience in solution design or architecture

  • Proven experience implementing complex architectures in corporate environments

  • Software development experience (advantageous)


⚙️ Key Responsibilities

Functional Management:

  • Design and implement ICT Architecture frameworks aligned with SABS strategy

  • Integrate solution architecture with business, data, application, and technology domains

  • Develop enterprise-wide architecture blueprints and ensure alignment with business goals

  • Identify opportunities for ICT architecture solutions and interoperability improvements

  • Oversee architecture governance and compliance with ICT standards

Risk & Compliance Management:

  • Implement fraud prevention and governance controls

  • Support audits and maintain compliance with internal and regulatory standards

  • Enforce SLAs to minimise risks and ensure business continuity

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Provide ICT architecture expertise and support organisational committees and task teams

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure timely query resolution
