✅ Minimum Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:

A BEd degree or Post Graduate Certificate in Education

A Sport Science qualification (advantageous)
-
SACE registration (mandatory)
-
2–3 years’ experience as a sport coach
-
1–2 years’ experience in sports or event coordination (advantageous)

Strong administrative and communication skills
-
A passion for learner development and team management
📌 Key Responsibilities
Sports Planning & Administration
-
Develop and manage high school coaching timetables
-
Assign coaches and coordinate activities
-
Communicate with parents about fixtures and schedules
-
Organise indemnity forms and permissions
-
Coordinate sports awards and recognition events
-
Attend AGMs and liaise with district sports bodies
-
Order and manage equipment and sports stock
-
Enter teams into leagues, tournaments, and galas
-
Maintain sports files, results, and fixture records
-
Create and share termly sports calendars
Coaching & Health and Safety
-
Assign and mentor coaching staff
-
Identify and assign relevant coaching clinics
-
Coach in your area of sporting expertise
-
Officiate matches and ensure safety protocols
Physical Education (PE) Management
-
Plan PE programmes aligned with IEB standards
-
Design skills assessments and sport-specific rubrics
-
Conduct talent identification across multiple sports
-
Encourage development in emerging sports talent
Sports Events & Tours
-
Plan and coordinate school sports events and tours
-
Manage logistics, catering, and event-day schedules
-
Ensure smooth running of fixtures, registers, and team management
-
Communicate clearly with parents and learners
Staff & Conflict Management

Mentor coaches and support professional growth
-
Address disciplinary issues in collaboration with Head of Sport

Mediate between staff and parents when needed
