Position Overview
The Sports Co-ordinator and Physical Education (PE) Teacher will be responsible for managing the school’s sports programme and delivering engaging PE lessons for Grades 1–3. The role promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among young learners while overseeing all school sporting activities and events.
Key Responsibilities
Physical Education Teaching

Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum for Primary School learners.

Conduct regular PE lessons focusing on fitness, coordination, and healthy lifestyles.

Assess and evaluate students’ progress and performance.

Promote physical wellbeing and a love for sport through active engagement.
Sports Programme Coordination & Coaching

Coordinate and manage sports events, fixtures, and training schedules.

Oversee maintenance and availability of sports facilities and equipment.

Act as Master in Charge (MIC) of sports for the Primary School.

Mentor and support student athletes.

Liaise with external schools, sports associations, and event organisers.

Collect and verify independent coaches’ timesheets.
Minimum Requirements
-
Recognised Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Sports Management, Exercise Science, or a related field.

SACE certification (required).

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a PE teacher and sports coach.

Proven experience in sports coordination and programme management.

Police clearance certificate (required).

Strong organisational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Advantageous Qualifications & Experience
-
Experience as a sports coach in multiple disciplines.
-
Referee/Umpiring qualification.
-
Professional Driver’s Permit (PDP).
