Agrinet Samrand is seeking a dynamic Irrigation Support Consultant to deliver first-tier telephonic support, handle technical irrigation product enquiries, process orders, and drive sales. This role requires exceptional communication, precision in customer handling, and strong technical understanding of irrigation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Telephone Support

Log into the telephone queue at the start of each shift and remain logged in throughout the workday.

Respond to all incoming calls within 5 seconds.

Maintain a daily call abandon rate ≤ 5%.

Limit idle time to ≤ 4 hours per day; “make busy” time ≤ 2 hours per day.

Avoid placing customers on hold for longer than 1 minute.

Make at least 150 outbound calls per week.

Resolve all customer queries and liaise with relevant departments.

Take ownership of each customer interaction with accurate request management and clear communication.
-
Keep call transfers to ≤ 10% of total daily calls.
Sales & Quotations

Prepare accurate quotations in the ERP system and communicate details clearly.

Conduct daily follow-ups on outstanding quotations.

Process customer orders promptly and provide updates on order status, product availability, and pricing.
-
Confirm payments with Debtors for cash orders before releasing goods.
-
Inform customers about minimum order values for delivery.
-
Participate in telephone marketing and promotional events.
-
Provide technical support for pump selection, engines, and irrigation systems; design tailored irrigation solutions.

Meet or exceed monthly sales targets.
Customer Service

Handle customer queries efficiently by coordinating across departments.

Use the CRM system to record customer details, tasks, and resolution timelines.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Agrinet’s product range.

Attend weekly product training and maintain an organized training file.
-
Communicate proactively about product updates, discontinued products, replacements, and barcode changes.

Assist export clients during visits to Agrinet.
Administration
-
Maintain an organized filing system and submit alphabetized weekly orders to the Admin team.

Manage email correspondence, respond promptly, and archive to maintain a clean inbox.

Save all client communications for reference and record-keeping.
Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)

Minimum 3 years’ relevant sales experience
Qualifications

National Senior Certificate
-
SABI qualification in irrigation courses (advantageous)
