Job Overview
Responsible for the production, preparation, and presentation of sushi products in the department. Ensures high-quality standards, food safety, hygiene, and accurate stock management.
Key Responsibilities
Production:

Follow production plan to ensure sales growth and minimize waste
-
Prepare sushi recipes according to production plan
-
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Sales/Turnover/Gross Margin:
-
Ensure readiness of upcoming promotional lines in conjunction with the Sushi Chef
Administration:
-
Assist with monthly stocktakes
-
Conduct daily waste scanning
Food Safety:
-
Adhere to all food safety procedures
-
Maintain hygiene standards and cold chain
-
Prevent cross-contamination
Self-Management:
-
Demonstrate Pick n Pay values at all levels

Stay updated with new legislation and developments

Take ownership and accountability for tasks

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12
-
Experience in cutting and filleting fish
-
Demonstrated ability in preparing all fish-related products

Broad knowledge of fish and sushi preparation

Ability to handle product storage, display, promotion, and quality control
