Role Overview
The Afrikaans First Additional Language Teacher (Grades 8–12) will plan and deliver stimulating lessons that promote language proficiency, cultural appreciation, and critical thinking. The educator will guide high school learners toward academic excellence and personal growth while preparing them for post-school success.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver innovative, learner-centered Afrikaans FAL lessons for Grades 8–12.

Develop instructional materials aligned with the curriculum and school standards.

Assess and report on learner progress, providing constructive feedback.

Manage classroom behaviour in a respectful and effective manner.

Serve as a proud ambassador for Pinnacle College and the ADvTECH brand.

Fulfil administrative duties and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.

Build and maintain positive partnerships with parents, colleagues, and the school community.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor of Education (FET Phase) or relevant degree (NQF Level 7) with PGCE.

Specialisation in Afrikaans FAL.

SACE registration and police clearance (mandatory).

2–5 years of teaching experience, with subject specialisation in Afrikaans FAL.

Computer and digital literacy essential.

Valid First Aid certification advantageous.
