The English Teacher will be responsible for teaching in the Intersen Phase, establishing and building students’ foundational education while guiding them to develop abstract thinking and complete independent work across various curricula areas.
Duties:
As a teacher, the successful candidate will:

Academic Delivery: Ensure students are motivated, inspired, and challenged in their learning.

Academic Assessment & Reporting: Conduct assessments and provide detailed feedback to students and parents.

Student Behaviour Management: Manage student behavior to create a conducive learning environment.

School Brand Ambassadorship: Promote and represent the school positively.

Administration: Handle necessary administrative tasks related to teaching and learning.

Health & Safety: Ensure that classroom and school safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:
-
An undergraduate degree (NQF level 6) and a PGCE or B.Ed (Intermediate, Intersen, or Senior Phase).

SACE certification and a police clearance are required.

Experience:
-
2-5 years of teaching experience, preferably in an educational environment similar to the ADvTECH schools.

Additional Skills:
-
Computer and Digital Literacy.
-
First Aid certification is beneficial.
