Position Overview
Trinityhouse Glenvista Preparatory is seeking a qualified and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join its team. The ideal candidate will inspire and challenge students to achieve academic excellence within a flexible and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Delivery

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated Mathematics lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.

Foster a student-centered classroom that promotes inquiry, problem-solving, and higher-order thinking.

Incorporate technology and innovative pedagogical strategies to enhance learning experiences.

Support the school’s mission of future-focused education by motivating and inspiring students.
Academic Assessment & Reporting

Conduct ongoing formative and summative assessments to track student progress.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student achievement.

Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate progress effectively to parents and guardians.
Student Behaviour Management
-
Establish and maintain positive classroom discipline.

Promote a culture of respect, accountability, and personal growth.
School Brand Ambassadorship

Represent the Trinityhouse and ADvTECH values with professionalism and integrity.

Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and community engagement initiatives.
Administration & Compliance

Manage administrative duties efficiently and meet reporting deadlines.

Adhere to school policies, including Health & Safety and Child Protection protocols.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Education (FET Phase) or equivalent with a Mathematics specialisation.

PGCE (if initial degree is not in Education).
-
Valid SACE registration and Police Clearance Certificate.
-
2–5 years of Mathematics teaching experience (Intermediate or FET Phase).

Computer and digital literacy essential.
-
First Aid certification (advantageous).
