About Reddam House Durbanville

Reddam House Durbanville is a co-educational, non-denominational private school offering both the Cambridge Assessment International and IEB curricula. Role Summary

The Teacher’s Assistant (TA) supports students’ progress and well-being while creating a positive and motivating learning environment. The role includes classroom support, daily routines, and supervision duties.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work Hours: 07h30 to 16h00; late shift every other week (until 17h30)

  • Assist in classroom activities and learning routines

  • Attend weekly TA meetings

  • Supervise children during various times including play and toilet routines

  • Change children and nappies (Stage 1 and 2)

  • Help with table activities (setup, aprons, name writing, handwashing)

  • Pack and tidy learning spaces, lockers, books, puzzles

  • Playground setup and supervision

  • Pack and tidy snack mat areas
