Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric | NQF Level 4

  • Mechanical trade qualification

  • Up to 3 years’ experience in a similar role


Key Responsibilities

Part Queries

  • Provide OEM/manufacturer part numbers or feedback to buyers and business within 24 hours of request

  • Create, update, and manage parts, including supersession updates in line with OEM specifications

Claims / Warranty

  • Coordinate and action claims for faulty or incorrect products within supplier SLA timelines

  • Ensure warranty coverage is secured for faulty parts

  • Process claims until RFC (Return for Credit) is completed

  • Address queries on faulty products with suppliers

Master File Maintenance

  • Create, update, and maintain the Unitrans parts master file for VM items

  • Supersede part numbers as per OEM updates or information received

Purchasing Support

  • Assist buyers with accurate part numbers and master files to ensure purchased parts are correct and compliant with OEM/manufacturer standards

Obsolete Stock Management

  • Coordinate with 3rd party providers to sell obsolete stock according to reorder categorization

  • Ensure part numbers and vehicle information are accurately updated and loaded for sale

  • Collaborate with depots and category managers for correct identification and cataloguing

Sale of Selected Stock

  • Drive sales of obsolete stock in line with category, depot, and distribution management guidelines

  • Set and achieve sales targets for selected stock
